Zen Do Ju-Jitsu
Zen Do Ju-Jitsu is a Japanese based form of Ju-Jitsu with
roots based in the Danzen Ryu Ju-Jitsu system. So what's the difference
between Japanese Ju-Jitsu vs. Brazilian Ju-Jitsu? The difference
between Japanese and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu is quiet simple. Brazilian
styles of Ju-Jitsu tend to be heavily focused on ground techniques
"grappling" compared to an over all training of standing
and ground techniques. Neither one is better than the other just
a difference in technical focus. Zen Do's Japanese style of Ju-Jitsu
is broken down into three equally trained aspects of Ju-Jitsu. Karate
/ Kenpo "punching & kicking",
Judo "throwing & ground fighting or grappling ", and
Yawara / Aikido
"joint locks and manipulation". With this approach Zen
Do Ju-Jitsu is an effective "self defense" form of martial
art for men, women, and children of all ages. |

Seven Virtues of Bushido
Bushido, literally translated "Way of the Warrior" was the
code of ethics followed by Samurai in ancient Japan. These virtues
are practiced and respected in martial art schools today, as well
as at the Zen Do School of Ju-Jitsu. It is the students obligation
to learn these virtues and implement them into their training as
well as daily life. Testing of understanding of this code will
be conducted throughout the students training at the Zen Do School
of Ju-Jitsu. |
